FENCE BUILDER STORY

“Our passion is to see young people, families and communities be equipped and resourced with an holistic understanding not only of the destructive elements of the Alcohol and other drug arena, but more so the motivators and causal affects behind the symptom of Alcohol and other Drug use.

Further to that we seek to help families, communities and individuals in discovering resiliency developing options based on a sustainable worldview and values that enable them to make wise personal and community benefiting choices.”

World Resilience Day

Founded by the Dalgarno Institute with national and international partners, World Resiliency Day promotes building resilience as a key protective factor against alcohol and drug use, particularly among young people.

While we continue to highlight substance harm, we equally emphasise building the proactive, preventative mechanisms that create resilient citizens.

JOIN OUR D.A.R.T COALITION

The Dalgarno Institute continues to grow as a coalition of concerned groups and individuals through our D.A.R.T. programme (Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Trust). We work collaboratively with organisations to promote Demand Reduction and Primary Prevention.

With a strong Reference Group and evidence-based research, our coalition develops culturally impacting strategies that help young people, children, families and their communities understand the complexities of alcohol and other drug use while offering positive alternatives for prevention and intervention.
