‘Choice, I demand choice!’ Well so is the cry of the privileged and free consumerist society. We, agree and believe it is a good thing to have choice, especially ‘good’ options. Yet in our current culture ‘awash’ in alcohol promotion, it can be difficult to find, not only good, but healthy, fun and incredibly creative options, when it comes to beverages.  Before we mix a fun and healthy drink, download this app and look into the future!

Ok, ready… here we go. We’ll start tame and move up…

Equipment you may need

  • An electric Blender will be necessary for many/most of the recipes (essential)
  • Juice Extractor (useful for some of  recipes that require juices not easily purchased separately)
  • Citrus Juicer/Reamer (handy for some recipes and of course if you LOVVVEEE fresh juice)
  • Other items that you should have on hand are 1) container for drink shaking 2) Mixing glass/jug 3) measuring spoons/cups 4) occasionally a mortar and pestle.

Apricot- Raspberry Fizz

8 parts apricot nectar (4 oz)
4 parts raspberry juice or puree (2oz)
Lime-flavoured sparkling mineral water


Combine apricot nectar and raspberry juice with a cracked ice in a cocktail shaker and shake well. Strain into a chilled highball glass.Fill the glass with mineral water and stir gently

Dangerous Liaisons

8 parts pineapple juice (4 oz)
4 parts grape juice (2 oz)
1 tablespoon of fresh squeezed lemon juice - Sparkling mineral water - pineapple spear for garnish

Combine juices with cracked ice in a cocktail shaker and shake well. Strain over ice cubes into a chilled collins glass and fill the glass with spakring mieral water. Stir gently and garnish. (serves one)
